Rushworth Motel is located 100m north of PO in the
historic gold mining town of Rushworth on the edge of
Rushworth state forest. Close to the Waranga basin which
is ideal for all water sports. The Motel is situated in a quiet
position in the centre of town, off the highway. It is walking
distance to the hotels, pub and TAB. Some other activities
include golf, tennis, gold fossicking, sight seeing (old Balaclava mine) and bushwalking.
There are 8 units with for being non smoking units. The property facilities include solar heated
slat water pool and guest BBQ. Ground floor units park at door. Room facilities

This is the second Annual Wildflower Walk, held on the last Sunday in August every year at a different location around the town of Rushworth, Victoria.
This year the walk will be starting at the Rushworth Cemetery, Heily Street, where you can pick up a map for a gold coin donation or directions to download an app for your smartphone to map the walk, the places of interest along the way and the tracks to walk along - there are many optional and interesting side tracks to see.
View a Chuff's nest, open cut tailings from gold mining, the old Brickworks, see where the local butcher used to hang the town meat overnight, view the Aboriginal shelter tree, walk in nature, see the many interesting and fascinating wildflowers that come up every year at this time, listen to the birds, spot some wildlife, smell and see the surrounds of Mother Nature at her best.
Suitable for all ages. Trail is approximately five to seven kilometres depending on which tracks you choose to walk.
Morning tea and refreshment stop at the halfway mark. First Aiders available for safety.
