Wellington Courthouse is owned by the National Trust of South Australia. Situated at the junction of the Murray River and Lake Alexandrina (with a breathtaking, panoramic view of the river itself, and also of the Wellington Ferry Crossing), Wellington boasts one of the oldest buildings in South Australia – the heritage Wellington Courthouse Museum complex. Although the original building was erected as a Police Station, it was rebuilt in 1864, and later on incorporated a Telephone Exchange. Since then it has been fully restored, and now houses a Museum. In recent times, it became converted into a kiosk-style café, as well as a licensed restaurant, with an upstairs function room suitable for weddings, etc, or for large business dinners. Finally, it provides accommodation facilities – in 2 different forms: firstly it is a Guesthouse-featuring two large bedrooms, a shared lounge & kitchen, together with bathroom & toilet facilities; secondly it contains two bedrooms at the back of the house – as a B&B option, with shower and toilet conveniences in another part of the main house.

Bell River Estate began life as Markeita Cellars around 1974 and was founded by Margherita and Keith Reinhard. The Cellars were developed by the Reinhard family and specialised in producing quality fortified wines (Ports and Sherries) and red wine, predominantly Shiraz. In June 2000, the business was purchased by Sandra and Mick Banks and with the sale came the name change to Bell River Estate. In January 2001, the focus of the business has not fundamentally changed with perhaps a little more emphasis on marketing table wines to a broader spectrum of country based customers. Mount Arthur Reserve

On the 18 August 1817 John Oxley and his party were the first Europeans to sight Mount Arthur, Wellesly and Duke. The three peaks form the basis of the Mount Arthur Reserve which is a public recreation area of 1.3 hectares, situated 563 metres above sea level and offers a good view of Wellington and the Wellington Valley. Bushwalks of one and a half hours to four hours duration are available through native Australian flora. Designated horse trails are also available. There are many picnic areas, but no camping is permitted. During spring the hills comes alive with bursts of colour from the gold Wattles, Pea Flowers (Dillwinia juniperina) in indigo, purple and red, Bugle Flower in purple clusters and the Bluebell (Wahlenbergia gracilis) provides a wonderful show.
